My Story
My career started in 2008 at a Department of Defense computing center, monitoring 40 IBM MVS mainframe domains and managing thousands of backup tapes daily. It was high-pressure, low-margin-for-error work β and it taught me that systems thinking isn't optional, it's survival.
From there I moved into enterprise data center operations and network monitoring, eventually landing at Express Scripts (now Evernorth Health Services) where I spent over a decade evolving from middleware infrastructure engineer to automation specialist to software engineer. I built deployment platforms, diagnostic tooling, and internal apps that turned raw backend data into actionable interfaces.
Somewhere along the way, the frontend pulled me in. React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind β the modern web stack became my playground. I started combining that with AI integration: prompt engineering workflows, voice interfaces with ElevenLabs, and LLM-powered tooling. The line between infrastructure and product blurred, and I liked it there.
Today I build independently. q-ring (a quantum-inspired secret manager), Prompt Awesomely (a prompt engineering platform), The Synthesist (an AI-powered synthesis game), and this very site β all expressions of the same drive: architect systems that feel alive, push boundaries, and make complex things accessible.
What I Work With
Beyond the Code
Travel
Currently exploring Bali. New cultures, new perspectives β every place rewires how I think about design and systems.
Family
Father and husband first. Everything I build is anchored by the people who matter most.
Gaming
Minecraft server architecture led to MineUI β a desktop app for managing servers via Podman. Play becomes prototype.
Systems Thinking
INTP-T wiring. I see patterns, connections, and architecture in everything β code, conversations, and coffee shops.
What Drives Me
Create systems that challenge the status quo. Push the boundaries of what web technology can achieve.
Continuous acquisition of new skills and paradigms. Stay curious, stay ahead.
Knowledge grows when shared. Open source contributions, mentoring, and community engagement.
